Digital Artists Support Projects starts Receiving Applications for Support Program ーBlender®, Maya®, 3ds Max®, Houdini® Unreal Engine® User Rendering Support

Geek Pictures Inc.
A.L.I. Technologies Inc.

The Digital Artists Support Project (DASP) which was launched by Geek Pictures Inc. (Main office: Tokyo, Shibuya-ku; CEO: Kosano Tamotsu) and A.L.I. Technologies Inc. (Main office: Tokyo, Minato-ku; CEO: Katano Daisuke) to support the creative pursuits of young digital artists has now started accepting applicants for the first support program.

The first phase of the support program project, the Free Cloud Rendering Support Program, will provide free use of the cloud rendering service BULLET RENDER FARM to artists under the age of 20 in Japan to support their 3DCG production.

Lengthy rendering times can stifle 3DCG creation, and it’s common for artists to feel the need to upgrade their hardware in order to speed up the process. However, because of the high cost of installation, the use of cloud-based rendering services is becoming increasingly popular among professionals and amateurs alike.

BULLET RENDER FARM, which is supported by this program, is a GPU-configured cloud render farm that runs multiple units simultaneously for ultra-fast rendering.

To use the software, export the data created by the 3DCG creation software and upload it to BULLET RENDER FARM. Then the rendering process is executed on the cloud server, and when the process is completed, the rendered data can simply be downloaded by the user.

To apply for the program, digital artists under the age of 20 should submit an application for participation through the DASP website application form. We also ask that works created through this program be posted on social networking platforms with the hashtag #DASP1.

DASP will provide an environment for passionate young 3DCG artists that is creatively conducive and allows for rapid growth as an artist. We will continue to contribute to the scene by providing opportunities for young digital artists to play an active role through programs that support 3DCG creative pursuits moving forward.
