Development of a Drone Solution to Enable Instant Measurement of Forest Height

2020.03.23. TOKYO. ~ A.L.I. Technologies Inc. (Main Office: Tokyo, Minato-ku; CEO Daisuke Katano; Hereinafter: A.L.I.) has announced the development of a drone solution that can immediately measure the height of trees, an important aspect in assessing the state of a forested area. Compared to more manual methods of measuring tree height, this innovation will save time and labor in the forestry industry.

The forest inspection drone can count the number of trees and measure the height of each individual tree to a 95% degree of accuracy*, and can apply this data to a map.
